Appointments available

Hope you are well. We seem to be getting through this crazy time.

So apart from mask wearing, some Covid-19 questions and an enormous amount of washing and cleaning, I am back to the new normal.

If you would like to book an appointment, then please call me on 07502 304284. Once we have confirmed an appointment, I will take your payment electronically and send you the following:

  1. Covid-19 Policy, explaining the new protocols we will be observing.
  2. Covid-19 pre-treatment questionnaire to fill in, sign and return. This includes questions about your health regarding Covid-19, such as have you been tested or seen anyone who has it?
  3. Covid-19 Disclaimer to sign and return.

These are to ensure yours and my safety.

I hope you are well and look forward to hearing from you.

My massage clinic is open

We have been given the green light

Massage therapists are allowed to see clients from Monday 13th July.

As my clinic is in my home, I am only allowed to see two clients a day at the moment to ensure I can offer the highest levels of safety.

Please note that I cannot offer Fascial facials or TMJ work. Government guidance currently says:
“Only services that do not involve work in the highest risk zone – directly in front of the face – should be made available to clients. This means that treatments such as … facial treatments, should not be provided until government advice changes, due to the much greater risk of transmission.”
I will update you on any changes.

I hope you are well and look forward to hearing from you.

What’s new this year

So 2018 has been another great year for continued training.

I started the year with a wonderful ‘Fascial Facial‘ course. This means you can have an amazing facial without any products just pure skin revival. You will look and feel so different.

ScarWork has changed the way I work with so many of my clients. Scars can cause restrictions underneath the visible scar as well as around it. This super light touch work can transform so many  issues caused by scarring.

And lastly an amazing Pelvic and Sciatica‘ course taught by Til Luchau, all the way from the USA.

There is always room for improvement. I will keep on training for your benefit.

All the best for 2019

Refining the light touch

I admit to being a bit of a course junkie, but it’s a win-win situation.
I get so wrapped up in the doing, I sometimes forget to tell you about my latest knowledge. So, since the last post I’ve been on two more courses. Both covering fascial bodywork…KEEP READING! Although Dr Ida Rolf pioneered fascial bodywork in the last century, the importance of fascia is only just being acknowledged.
There’s indirect and direct fascial bodywork:
Indirect work is based on light touch, helping the body to unwind emotionally and physically. Direct work identifies areas of imbalance, and improves the body’s structure and alignment.
Both make you feel a whole lot better.

So give me a ring to discuss any pain you may have. And we’ll take it from there.

All the best for 2017

Take advantage of my continued training

As I said in my last post, last year I discovered the joys of trigger point therapy, myofascial release and soft tissue release.

This may not float your boat. You may not know what it means. But I can promise you, when they are used in a massage you get much better results. Your pain decreases more quickly and you feel SO much better.

So to add to upper back, lower back, shoulder girdle and TMJ, this summer I have covered advanced courses in legs and feet, and arms and hands. The benefits of which have been felt by runners and those with carpal tunnel syndrome in particular.

How are your arms and legs?

Fantastic massage courses – take a look now

These courses with Tracey Kiernan from Blend Therapy Training are the best in the North West.
She covers a comprehensive range of methods to help your clients get out of pain. From the consultation to myofascial techniques, trigger point therapy, acupressure, stretching and more…Take a look at the courses coming up, starting with Pelvic girdle pain – 12 – 13 June, in Lancaster.

Exciting courses

Charlotte Crosby Massage Kendal

Last year I discovered the joys of trigger point therapy, myofascial release and soft tissue release.

This may not float your boat. You may not know what it means. But I can promise you, when they are used in a massage you get much better results. Your pain decreases more quickly and you feel SO much better.

So, I've been racking up as much training as possible to provide this type of massage. After completing the 'Foundation in Advanced Clinical Massage Techniques' which set the scene and completely dismissed any doubts I had about it, I took on 'Lower back pain' and 'Upper back pain' followed by the 'Upper back and shoulder girdle'. My latest and most unique course, was about 'TMJ' or 'temporomandibular joint' relief. The symptoms of TMJ are numerous, including jaw, face, neck and shoulder pain, popping and clicking jaw, tinnitus, teeth grinding and headaches.

I'm now very excited about using my new skills to get you out of pain.

So if you're in Kendal or the Lake District, see what I have on offer  and why not give me a ring and organise a session while they're still available!
